How the new general purpose airship works

Airship-GP methods of work

The airship is close on a design to classical dirigible balloons of the rigid scheme. The rigid case of the elliptic form contains balloons with bearing gas. The control cabin, technical, passenger and cargo compartments are attached below the case. The airship is equipped with new propellers with control of a vector of the traction, allowing to improve manoeuvrability of the airship and its wind stability. The airship is equipped by system of an controllable ballast and landing gears. The sum of properties of the airship allows to realise some new manners of flight and work and new methods of cargo and special operations.

The basic method of work at cargo operations

  1. Initial condition of an airship - parking on the earth with use of own landing gears of an airship;
  2. vertical launch due to the propellers and control of the ballast;
  3. flight to the loading place;
  4. loading of the airship on a hover mode (without a powerful air stream downwards);
  5. vertical launch with payload due to propellers and managements of a ballast;
  6. flight to a place of an unloading or payload installation;
  7. exact and steady hover of the airship over the point of an unloading or payload installation (without a powerful air stream downwards);
  8. an unloading or exact installation of payload;
  9. by means of management of a ballast the payload weight is transferred on land support;
  10. payload is unhooked from the airship;
  11. vertical launch of an empty airship;
  12. the airship is ready to fly on parking, on refuelling or behind a following cargo;

Another work method

In addition to the basic way of cargo operations it can be used and a classical method. In this way the airship should work with an unloaded ballast. Such work demands land operation at loading and unloading a payload and a ballast. It essentially complicates work, but it allows to take twice the big useful load. Method of work:

  1. instead of an operated ballast the dirigible balloon takes an unloaded ballast;
  2. vertically flies up and flies to a shipping place;
  3. vertically lands, takes aboard high heavy payload and leaves here an unloaded ballast;
  4. vertically flies up with the payload and flies to an emptying point
  5. here the airship vertically lands, positions heavy payload and unloads or installs it;
  6. all necessary installation works are carried out;
  7. after that the airship starts to accept aboard a ballast;
  8. after accepting of all ballast from the airship the payload is unhooking
  9. after that the airhip with a full ballast vertically flies up and is ready to a new cycle of work;
